My wife Beryl and I are among the founding members of North Shrewsbury Community Church, now known as Hope Church. From the outset I have been a Trustee and heavily involved with the administration and financial aspects of church life.
More recently we have pioneered and led the Hope Church Food Bank which is a satellite of Shrewsbury Food Bank serving local people.
My responsibilities as an Elder at Hope Church include overseeing the Administration and Finances as well as supporting and encouraging our care for the poor and vulnerable in our communities which includes serving our sister charity Hope Initiatives.
Ray and Beryl also lead BREADtrust, a Christian Charity serving churches in South East Ukraine and their care for the poor. They are also keen beekeepers and run a small beekeeping supplies business.
I am married to Lis and we have a beautiful baby girl called Carys. We live in Harlescott Grange estate and we are involved in this local community.
I work for Shrewsbury Youth for Christ, a charity that runs projects with 11-18 year olds in schools, colleges and other local settings.
As an Elder at Hope Church I am responsible for mission on the estates of Harlescott Grange. I also regularly preach and teach, lead the worship team.
I am a music lover and I enjoy recording at home as well as leading worship at Hope Church. Other interests include eating pizza and Star Wars, amongst other things!
I am married to Tracey and we have 4 young children. We moved from Brighton to Shrewsbury 6 years ago to help North Shrewsbury Community Church.
My working background is International and Community development and I have had the privilege of visiting and working in many developing world countries.
I became the Team Leader of Hope Church in the summer of 2011 when Phil Whittall moved to Sweden to plant a new church in Stockholm.
My responsibilities are Leading the Team, Preaching and Teaching, Evangelism and Alpha, and supporting our Children's Work leaders.
I love my wife's cooking, watching football and reading!
